Day 66: (18 July 2011):
- Decide get chicken ball for breakfast, but not really open.
- 20-30 min queue at post office for stamps. 1 person behind me. Frustrating.
- Quick tour of ruined fort.
- Visit the Sultinate Palace hotel.Replica of palace built in traditional way. Museum again a bit lacksuntre, but some nice traditional costumes. Nice bld & gardens.
- Have chicken ball on way back. Not even ask what I order. I also have corn water(?). Sounded like yu mi shui or something like it.
- Pack up & leave ~12:30. Buy soy milk & get on bus. Sit a while & leave.
- Arrive @ Sentral & buy ticket for 12RM: leave in 10m @1:30.
- Wait, but bus not leave until ~1:50.
- Luxerious buses. Wide seats. Recline. Armrests.
- More sugar palm plantations. drainage steps.
- Arrive big bus stop in KL. As someone told me, bus stops are like airports in Malaysia. Multiple levels, modern, streamlined. Big arrivals & departure boards. Petronas signs.
- Have quick lunch: Indian self-serve? over 8RM, expensive.
- Find tram at attached station. Change lines at Masjid Jamek (Nice mosque at.) to Pasar Seni. Lots of very long names in Malaysia. As warned, poor integration. Exit & re-enter to transfer.
- Walk around a bit, find hostel. Have 6 bd dorm, but prices are higher than online, and not sure if can offer 3 for 2 night deal. Will ask owner later. Nice cold reception, but needed to have backpackers let me in as no staff around. Use computer as wait.
- Map from central market. Sea coconut juice. Post card & magnet.
- Ate at place recommended my Wikitravel. Walk by Masjid Jamek on way back.
- Great market at Jalan Petalan. Buy expensive 15RM durian, tasty, but not notice why expensive. Near fight(-like attitude) when buying rambutan & negociation with street fruit vendor.
- Can call mom for free with provided headphones & free Internet here.
- Use the free washing machine.
